27. Aabenraa Mountain Marathon

The Aabenraa Bjergmarathon (Aabenraa Mountain Marathon) will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Aabenraa, Southern Denmark. The event has established itself as a challenging and scenic running tradition since the early 2000s, guiding participants through the charming old town, along the harbor, through forests, and over hilly terrain – a total of about 250 meters of elevation gain per half marathon lap, which is approximately 500 meters for the full marathon ([ahotu.com](https://www.ahotu.com/event/aabenraa-bjergmarathon?utm_source=openai)). The course starts and ends at Storetorv. The route combines cobblestone passages through the old town, idyllic harbor areas, and nature-oriented sections with forest and hill passages.
