31. Three-Reservoir-Marathon

The Drei-Talsperren Marathon is a challenging landscape marathon through the Erzgebirge-Vogtland nature park, where around 1,000 runners compete over various courses. The event will take place on September 19, 2026, in Eibenstock, and includes an 8km run, a half marathon (21km), and the classic marathon (42km). The course is exceptionally scenic and runs along the three reservoirs: Eibenstock, Carlsfeld, and Sosa. The start and finish are located at the Bretschneider Sportstätte stadium in Eibenstock. The running courses, especially the marathon, are known for their steep inclines – over 1,000 meters of elevation gain – making it one of the toughest marathons in Germany. The combination of a natural paradise, a sporting challenge, and a family-friendly atmosphere makes it a true highlight in the running calendar.
