21. swb-Marathon Bremen

The 21st swb-Marathon Bremen will take place on September 13, 2026, inviting runners to experience Bremen in all its diversity – from the historic old town through the Werdersee, Weserwehr, Botanical Garden, Universum, Bürgerpark, Überseestadt, Schlachte, to the Weserstadion and back to the marketplace. The event was first held in 2006 and has since established itself as a staple in the Bremen sports calendar. In 2025, typical mild autumn conditions prevailed in September, with daytime highs around 20 °C and pleasantly low humidity, ideal running conditions for participants. There is no lottery – registration takes place online via davengo and is based on staggered fees – the earlier, the cheaper (e.g., Marathon: from €59 until the end of October 2025, up to €99 until August 2026). There is no lottery; instead, everyone secures their starting place in the registration portal as long as slots are available. The course is nearly flat and runs through urban terrain with few elevation meters; specific elevation details are not communicated, as they are considered negligible.
